This is the more simple way of playing records, all you need is a turntable (with a built in phono stage) and some powered speakers.

Powered speakers, sometimes called Active Monitors, have amplifiers built into them and will get their power through a powerpoint.

If your after a tangle free system that doesn't take up too much space, look no further! The slimline setup is generally a more affordable option but that doesn't mean you have to skimp on quality.

Tip: Speakers that have Bluetooth functionality built-in are a type of powered speaker. If you are looking at a bluetooth speaker, you should check if they have either RCA inputs or an AUX line-in if you want to connect a turntable to it.
