Often we don't have the luxury of obtaining enough information to make a sound decision and in these times it is impossible to demo speakers with current COVID lock down conditions...view more. Having some experience helps but my largest concern was how this centre channel would integrate with my system. Turns out the crossover is perfectly balanced to provide smooth transition in a surround set up. Vocal clarity and tone are excellent with controlled sibilance in the high's so it's not a harsh sound to tolerate - more a pleasing and comfortable integration within the environment without addition or subtraction of bandwidth. Driving these speakers is effortless and standalone testing reveals a tight mid-bass and close to flat response up through the treble notes so it may even be considered as a surround option. Deeper bass is not required here so leave it up to your left/right channels for a better response. All in all it is an excellent addition to the surround set up and I wouldn't hesitate to consider other options from Monitor Audio. Thanks to Melb Audio for the excellent and prompt service. It's an easy 8.5/10 from me. John A. view less
