The beating heart of the 3000 Micro R|Evolution is a pair of active, side-firing 9-inch high-excursion drivers custom-built by the SVS design team to maximise output from a small enclosure. The drivers operate in perfect unison, acoustically and electrically in parallel to generate powerful, controlled low frequencies. By firing in opposite directions, mechanical forces are canceled, creating a sonically inert cabinet and eliminating unwanted vibration—one of the biggest limitations of compact subwoofers. Each high-excursion active 9-inch driver employs a progressive inverted surround to ensure maximum linear displacement. This is imperative for moving massive amounts of air and generating sound pressure levels you can feel at the deepest frequencies from such a small enclosure.
